Morning Beautifuls,
Welcome to my ‘Collections’ posts where I categorise and explain to you all the items – good and bad – that I own. As these are really fun to organise and snap, I think I’ll make this its own category potentially doing a few ‘Collections’ post. So keep your eyes peeled for them!
I thought I would kick it off with my Skin Make-up Collection as this is probably the most basic and less complicated of all my collections.
*magically inserts a picture here*
This is my full collection of skin products mainly focusing on concealers (I mean, there are six of those), powders and blush. The only reasons there aren’t many liquid foundations is the fact that I have absolutely no idea what tone my skin is. Hence the overload on concealers.
Onto the products though. As I said previously, I own a few concealers. The two W7 concealers are different colours and use to be the love of my life. The light/medium was perfect for my under eyes and the medium/dark was great for covering up my spots. However, my love of these concealers was overtaken by the Rimmel Hide-The Blemish Concealer. This has a great cream consistency and works wonders on my horribly dark undere yes. I bought the Australis correct pallet to try out the green and purple shades that are meant to reduce reds and darkness. I like the purple better than the green but cannot wear them by themselves – if I wear them at all, I usually put them under the Rimmel Concealer. As for the Maybelline – that is the completely wrong colour for my skin. Although it works wonders as a cream bronzer!
Liquid foundations – I only own two and they are completely different from each other. The Profusion foundation is the one I wear on nights out for that extra cover-up and is pretty good. Blended well, it looks nice but it takes a lot to blend and buffer so isn’t the perfect ‘fast-line’ foundation. The Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse has been my recent makeup purchase. I literally bought it two days ago as I loved the feel of the cream foundation, however have not had the chance to wear it. Definitely give you an update on that when I finally coat it on my face!
As for powders, I have a few of these as I use them on a regular basis as a foundation. My first ever powder was the CoverGirl powder and is incredible as a starter makeup item. Now, I use the W7 Sheer Loose Powder and am loving it at the moment. However, I usually mix this with the Australis Correctional Coverage Powder and the W7 Pressed Powder, using the former as a highlighter and the latter as a bronzer. I just find this works really well with my skin and keeps my skin make-up routine very simple (and powdery).
The final skin products I have are my blushers and bronzers. These are the least used products in my whole collection, only coming out on special occasions. To pick between them would be a crime as they all have their nights out, however I love the orangy sets of blushes rather than the pinks (as you can probably see from my collection).
This brings me to the end of my Skin Product collection! I hope you enjoyed and I hope you have the most amazing week ahead of you!
Keep smiling and stay awesome,
🌟 Kay Anne🌟
